What you need

Distilled water
- The best option for the cleanest DIY Hair conditioner possible
- If you don’t have distilled water, filtered water is a close second
- It doesn’t contain any of the nasty minerals found in tap water
Olive oil
- Stimulates hair growth
- Is a natural hair conditioner
- Adds shine
Vegetable glycerin
- Is known as a humectant, and is great at moisturizing
- Promotes hair growth
- Strengthens and prevents breakage
Vitamin E oil
- Stimulates hair growth
- Helps prevent dry, split ends
- Adds shine
Guar gum
- Hydrates the hair by sealing in moisture
- Prevents breakage and reduces frizz
- Reduces product buildup and makes hair more manageable
- Acts as a conditioner, makes hair smooth and shiny
Clary sage essential oil
- Effectively treats dandruff and dry hair
- Encourages hair growth and minimizes hair loss
- Balances scalp oils
- Increases hair shine
Rosemary essential oil
- Stimulates cell renewal and has healing properties
- Nourishes the scalp and promotes hair growth
- Increases hair thickness
Milk frother
- Using a milk frother is optional, but highly recommended for a well-blended conditioner
- If you are up for an arm workout, feel free to mix by hand if you don’t have one handy
Airtight container
- Nozzle makes for easy application
- I’ve repurposed a sauce bottle I had laying around the kitchen, but if you don’t have one, you can order something similar (linked here)
- Repurposing old bottles is an easy way to be more eco-friendly

How to make
- Get a large mixing bowl and add 1 teaspoon of Olive oil followed by 1/2 tsp each of Vegetable glycerin and vitamin E oil
- Next, add 2 drops each of Clary sage and Rosemary essential oils
- Using your electric hand mixer, mix well to combine
- Next, while using the mixer, slowly add in 1 teaspoon of Guar gum
- And finally, while mixing, slowly add in 1 cup of Distilled water
- Mix until there are no clumps and everything is well combined
- Pour into your airtight container
- All done!
Ways to use
- Apply to damp hair in the shower
- Smooth through hair strands
- Rinse well and follow it up with this deep conditioner or this leave-in conditioner
