Witch hazel
- Contains anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-fungal and antioxidant properties
- Is an effective natural cleanser
Vegetable glycerin
- Safe and non-toxic
- Improves skin imperfections by holding in moisture
- Has natural skin healing properties
Aloe vera gel
- Soothes and hydrates irritated skin
- Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties help to heal damaged skin
- A natural moisturizer
Cedarwood essential oil
- Heals skin rashes and blemishes
- Reduces excessive secretions of sebum, oil and normalizes both dry and oily skin
- Has a grounding and earthy scent
- Optional, but recommended
Vetiver essential oil
- Heals skin and promotes cell regeneration
- Treats dark spots, acne blemishes and cracked skin
- Has antiseptic and antioxidant properties
- Smells amazing!
- Optional, but recommended
Bergamot essential oil
- Provides skin purifying benefits
- Inhibits the growth of germs, fungi and viruses and applied topically
- Helps to balance oily skin and reduce acne marks and blemishes
- Optional, but recommended
Glass spray bottle
- Glass is always the preference when working with essential oils
- Dark or UV protected glass helps to retain the effective properties of the essential oils
How to make
- Unscrew the nozzle on your glass spray bottle and get ready to add:
- 1 tablespoon each of Vegetable glycerin and Aloe vera gel
- Next, add your favorite essential oils. I used 12 drops Cedarwood, 8 drops Vetiver and 4 drops Bergamot
- Fill the rest of the glass spray bottle with Witch Hazel
- Add the nozzle back on
- Shake to combine
- It’s ready to use. Enjoy!
Ways to use
- After shaving, rinse your skin thoroughly
- Pat dry with a clean towel
- Give the bottle a good shake before use
- Spray on shaven areas
- Rub thoroughly into skin
- Follow up with a moisturizer like this one (or this one)!
