How to make a clay mask at home

How to make

  1. Get your mixing bowl and non-metal spoon and get ready to add:
  2. 1 tsp of Bentonite clay
  3. Next, 1/2 tsp of Activated charcoal
  4. Followed by 5 drops of your favorite essential oils. I used 2 drops of Blue tansy, 2 drops of Roman chamomile and 1 drop of Helichrysum
  5. And finally, 1 tbsp of Aloe vera gel
  6. Now, mix well to combine until it forms a paste
  7. All done!

Ways to use

  • Carefully apply to the face, being cautious around the eye area
  • Let it sit for 15-30 minutes, or until you can feel it starting to dry out. It will start to get itchy too! This is your cue to get ready to wash it off
  • Rinse gently with water until the water runs clear
  • Then, follow up with a good facial cleanser and moisturizer. My current favs are linked here and here
  • Repeat weekly for best results
  • This recipe is enough for two applications (unless you have a large face)
  • Refrigerate or freeze any leftovers and use up as soon as possible
