Do you know how easy it is to make this DIY Foaming hand soap? This recipe will not only save you TIME (it takes less than 60 seconds to make), MONEY (it is super cost-effective to buy all the ingredients once and be able to make and re-make this recipe when it’s time to refill) and support your HEALTH (store bought hand soaps are filled with synthetic fragrances and chemicals). You’re welcome 😉

Castile soap
- All-natural and plant-based
- Non-toxic
- Gentle, yet effective
Distilled water
- Best option for the cleanest hand soap possible
- If you don’t have distilled water that’s okay. Filtered water is a close second
- Doesn’t contain any of the nasty minerals found in tap water
Tea tree essential oil
- Is anti-bacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic and antiviral
- The perfect essential oil for the job, since our hands come in contact with so many germs and bacteria
- Speeds up the healing of wounds and repels insects
Lavender essential oil
- Has a fresh, pleasant fragrance
- Contains antioxidant properties
- Powerful relaxing and calming properties
Foaming soap dispenser
- Is the key to a proper foaming hand soap
- You can re-use a foaming dispenser you already have, or purchase a new one (the one I used is linked here)
- I love foaming soap since it uses a fraction of the amount of soap of a typical soap dispenser and creates the perfect foamy cloud-like soap!
How to make
- Add 6 oz of distilled (or filtered) water to the soap dispenser
- Then add 1 oz of Castile soap to the soap dispenser
- Next, add 10 drops each of Tea tree and Lavender essential oils
- If you don’t have these oils, feel free to substitute with any you have at home, or omit them altogether ⏤ the DIY Foaming hand soap will still lather without them
- Add the top back on, just make sure there is enough space left to screw the cap on tightly
- Give it a shake
- Enjoy!
