Agar powder
- A vegan gelling agent extracted from red algae
- It is odorless, tasteless and very little calories

Silicon molds
- Non-stick molds are perfect for making these gummy cough drops
- They are made of food-grade silicone and are oven, freezer, microwave and dishwasher-safe
- Eco-friendly and BPA-free
Dropper
- Small droppers allow for precise filling of molds
- Silicon molds (above) come packaged with 2 small droppers, but these are here in case you need them
Air-tight container
- I repurposed a vitamin bottle for this batch, but a similar option is linked here
- Reusing containers is an easy way to be eco-friendly and lower your plastic usage
- Store-bought cough drops usually come in plastic that will eventually require recycling

- Add 1 cup of DIY Cough Syrup to a sauce pan
- Sprinkle 1/4 cup of Agar powder. Stir to combine
- Turn on heat to medium-low and stir constantly until mixture thickens
- After the mixture has thickened (or about 5 minutes), remove from the heat
- Use dropper to fill the molds all the way to the top
- Refrigerate or freeze until set
- Place finished drops into your air-tight container
- All done!
How to use
