Hydrogen peroxide
- Considered the world’s safest, all-natural sanitizer & disinfectant
- Kills microorganisms through oxidation
- Acts as a germicidal, antibacterial and antiviral agent
Lemon juice
- The acid in lemons is antibacterial and antiseptic. It also acts as a natural bleach
- Is a terrific cleaning agent
- Has a fresh, energizing scent
Distilled water
- Best option for the cleanest chemical-free bleach possible
- If you don’t have distilled water on hand, filtered water is a close second
- But, distilled water doesn’t have any of the nasty chemicals found in tap water
- Want a stronger formula? You can reduce the amount of distilled water, or even omit this ingredient altogether
doTERRA Purify essential oil
- An exclusive combination of essential oils that purify and eradicate odors naturally and safely
- Contains Lemon, Lime and Pine essential oils (known for their powerful cleansing properties), along with Siberian and Austrian Firs (to purify the air and protect against environmental threats), as well as Citronella, Melaleuca and Cilantro
Dark glass spray bottle
- Glass is always the preference when working with essential oils
- Dark glass helps to retain the effective properties of not only the essential oils, but also the hydrogen peroxide
How to make
- Remove the nozzle on your spray bottle and get ready to add:
- 2 cups of Hydrogen Peroxide
- Next, add 2 tbsps of Lemon juice
- You can add up to 2 cups of Distilled water next. But, if you want a stronger formula, reduce or even omit this ingredient altogether
- Finally, add 10 drops of doTERRA Purify essential oil
- Add the nozzle back on your spray bottle
- Shake to combine
- Enjoy!
How to use
- Use as a general purpose household cleaner and spray surfaces as needed
- Or add 1 cup to your washing cycle to whiten laundry
- I love to spray my chemical-free bleach on tile grout in the shower (or anywhere else) to refresh. Also, show some TLC to those pesky corners that love to accumulate mold. But the possibilities are endless!
